The following information is not comprehensive and is provided as a community resource by the organizations listed, which are solely responsible for the accuracy of the entries. OASIS encourages readers to evaluate this information independently.

ebXML Message Services Interoperability Validation Test
Seven solution providers successfully completed the ebXML Message Service-3Q03 interoperability testing conducted by eBusinessReady, an industry-neutral software testing program under joint partnership of the Uniform Code Council, Inc. (UCC) and Drummond Group Inc. (DGI). Companies demonstrating interoperability among their products included B2Binternet, Inc., bTrade, Inc., Cyclone Commerce, IPNet Solutions, SeeBeyond, Sterling Commerce, and Sybase, Inc.

Automotive ebXML Messaging Interoperability Pilot
bTrade, Cyclone Commerce, Drummond Group, Sterling Commerce and Sybase have launced a pilot, slated to run from October 2001 through February 2002. The project will demonstrate the exchange of ebXML Messaging and produce the first group of interoperable off-the-shelf products for the Global Commerce Initiative and the Standards for Technology in Automotive Retail.

CECID
Center for E-Commerce Infrastructure Development (CECID) at the University of Hong Kong develops e-commerce enabling technologies, participates in important international e-commerce initiatives, supports e-commerce standardization for Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Region, and transfers e-commerce technology and skills to the community. With projects primarily funded by the Hong Kong Government's Innovation and Technology Commission, CECID is an active member of OASIS and the ebXML Asia Committee. The Center also collaborates with a number of lead technology users in the Asia-Pacific Region on turning R&D results into real-life business applications. Pilot projects that have become production use include an eInvoicing System for Hong Kong's major metro operator (MTRC); an eProcurement System for HMV Hong Kong and Sony Music Hong Kong; and the Dangerous Goods Manifest Submission System for HK Government's Marine Department and logistics players OOCL as well as several other shipping companies. CECID's other contributions to the community include its code donation of Hermes (ebMS) and ebMail to freebXML (http://www.freebxml.org) and the production of an in-depth design and management guide on XML Schemas for the Hong Kong Government. CECID is currently developing a plug-and-play Internet appliance for secure and reliable transmission of electronic documents based on ebXML / Web Services.

Dealersphere
Dealersphere is a Web services-based integration hub for the auto industry that enables car dealerships to hook into a central integration engine by way of an ebXML-compliant system that plugs into the dealers' LAN. Dealers use the hub to communicate with other companies that subscribe to Dealersphere regardless of their infrastructure. The system is built largely on Sun hardware and software, and EDS provides the data center processing and connectivity. Nitra, a J2EE-based platform built specifically for the automotive industry by Seattle-based Cobalt Group, is also being used, as well as Killdara's software.

DSTC
The DSTC Elemental Project researches enterprise modeling languages and methodologies for describing and supporting e-enterprises, including an architecture to support establishment and management of electronic contracts, and extending the ebXML meta-model.

eBusinessReady
eBusinessReady is the leading global software testing program to drive standards adoption and interoperability across industry, this test was conducted by eBusinessReady. The ebXML Messaging Services Interoperability and Conformance Validation Test consists of different Rounds of tests conducted against the ebXML Messaging Services standard. Each Round has a number of Vendor Participants who bring their product, by version, to the testing process.

ebXML Masters by Research
The Computer Science Department at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Autralia has provided a prototype implementation of an ebXML CPA composition tool and a CPA negotiation infrastructre. The prototypes are open sourced.

European openXchange
Pilot: "Electronic hiring of temporary staff"
The openXchange project builds a framework for the exchange of business objects to enable complete business process integration and tests that framework in real life pilot applications. The "Electronic hiring of temporary staff" pilot defines information according to ebXML specifications and transports it with HR-XML messages. OpenXchange is a project within the IST framework (Information Society Technologies, http://www.cordis.lu/ist), partially financed by the European Commission.

India Trade and Shipping
As part of its efforts to promote adoption of ebXML and global e-business standards in general, ebXMLIndia.org is involved in pilot efforts in different domains. These projects are at various stages of progress at the moment. One of the active engagements is in the Indian trade and shipping domain. Key players, including some leading container shipping industry leaders, government regulation agencies and systems experts, are working together to make this effort a success.

JAXR
Java API for XML Registries (JAXR) provides a simple Java client API for programmatic access to ebXML Registry implementations.

KIEC
Korea Institute for Electronic Commerce delivers a prototype ebXML registry & repository service with its Korea ebXML Central Registry & Repository. The Korea ebXML Central Registry & Repository serves its role as the reference for the implementation of Korean sector-specific ebXML registries & repositories. The Korea ebXML Central Registry & Repository will maintain standard business contents for Korean industries and serve as the ebXML registry & repository for those sectors that cannot afford their own ebXML registries & repositories.

KTNET
Korea Trade Network (KTNET) provides ebXML Registry Repository service in POC Version in Korea for the ebXML Community. This ebXML RegRep is a representative ebXML RegRep for the e-trade community in Korea. In addition, it serves as the heart of GXMLHub project that has an ebXML Infrastructure based on the ebXML Technical Architecture. It aims to be vertical ASP for trade companies in Pan-Asia based on ebXML enabling interoperable global trading automatically.

METU-SRDC
Software Research and Development Center (SRDC) - Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, is currently developing ebXML-related software. Implemented parts of ebXML framework include the ebXML Messaging Service Specification with Soap with Attachments and a workflow engine that tracks Business Process data and controls flow in as documented in the ebXML Business Process Specification Schema. METU-SRDC is currently working on an automated generation of a CPA from two CPPs; as well as using RosettaNet PIPs as ebXML BPSs.

The Sino Project
The Sino Project is a community-supported open source project. The goal of the Sino Project is to work with the Linux and JBOSS communities to build a complete, general purpose ebXML solution exclusively from free software. The Sino Core is taken from the CECID of HKU Collaborating with Industry and the Government of Hong Kong on ebXML Pilot Projects. Targeted open source business applications such as ERP, CRM, Logistics and Supply Chain are being ported to the Sino Core. Development will be done is a public forum. The Sino Project will release Sino Applications about 4 time a year with a public release schedule. To learn more about The Sino Project go to; http://sourceforge.net/projects/sino/

Swedish Alliance for Electronic Busines
The non-profit organization, GEA (The Swedish Alliance for Electronic Business), is sponsoring a project with the aim of understanding the potential of ebXML and lay the foundation for an application in practice. This is one of the first ebXML projects in Sweden, and as such an important source for knowledge and experiences. The project uses modern business modelling methodologies and technologies in order to link business concerns and requirements with technical features and possibilities provided by ebXML.

The UK's National Programme for Information Technology (NPfIT) is the world's largest civil IT project. A central component of the NHS Care Records Service is the Transactional Messaging Service (TMS) Spine using the ebXML Messaging Service OASIS Standard. It is likely to become one of the largest applications of this technical specification.

XML Registry and Repository (XR2)
XR2, NII Enterprise Promotion Association's portal for the XML community in Taiwan, is an XML registry based on ebXML RIM v 1.0. The objective of XR2 is to reduce redundant tasks through XML-based standards and enable interoperable eCommerce. XR2 is supported by the Department of Industrial Technology, Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan.
