ebXMLMessaging Services, Registries and Repositories, Collaborative Protocol Profile and Implementation, Interoperability and Conformance work is conducted within the OASIS technical process, because of the Consortium's expertise in XML standards development. Any organizations or individuals interested in participating in this work may do so by joining OASIS.

ebXML Core Components and Business Process Models [] is advanced within UN/CEFACT, because of its vast experience in UN/EDIFACT EDI standards. Organizations interested in participating in this work may do so by becoming a member of UN/CEFACT.

Strong liason relationships between OASIS ebXML Technical Committees and the UN/CEFACT ebXML Working Group are preserved, and face-to-face meetings of all ebXML teams are held regularly.

An ebXML Management Committee, made up of representatives from both UN/CEFACT and OASIS, oversees the entire project. A Memorandum of Understanding between UN/CEFACT and OASIS regarding the continuance of the ebXML work provides more details.
